Funky Birthday cards

I made a couple Birthday cards from an idea i found in a magazine. Both are pics i took. One is a friend of mine from work goofing off. the 2nd is when my family went to Virginia city and we were all "toasting". what do ya think?

Steady as she goes

I tried a new techiniqe the other day. i saw this on another blog, with the rolled up paper and tied. I also had this graphic, its off a bottle of Sailor Jerry's. So i gave it a shot. i kinda really like it!

Halloween Cards

Last Halloween i decided to try my hand at card. (at first, i just did birthday and Christmas. but as more and more people like my work, i have pushed the envelope to try to do more holidays) I did two different designs for my gma. and then my other gma wanted some to send out as well. so i got to challenge myself even further and try to make some for her that were different

Christmas card '07

this is the card i sent out to friends and family. I LOVE how it turned out.. i really like that i got him to "hold" the martini. a good friend, barb, said that it was just the personal twist that made it mine..

seashell card

i love how these cards came out. they are a more complicated take on my blue/white seashell cards i did a few months ago. adding the brown and the paperclip made it just that much more special.. i think i will make up some of these for every occasion (birthday, thank you , thinking of you )

Graduation Card

One of my relatives wanted cards to give to people who were graduating this year.. once again i got to use a card i had seen in a magazine...

Wedding Announcement

a set of friends of mine were getting married. Loving a challenge, i asked em if they wanted me to design their wedding announcements. of course, they accepted, and after lots of trial and error, i came up with these..

i started with their colors. Purple and Green.. i then used a picture of the beach they were getting married on.. I found wording that WE BOTH agreed on.. I then printed it on vellum, and overlayed that onto the picture.. she absolutely LOVED them!

Baby announcements

i have made 3 sets of baby announcements. i have pics of two... The first set i made was for a friend who had a set of twin girls.. Then a very good friend of mine was pregnant with a little boy. so for her gift, i made her announcements.

it is a pocket card, and you pull out the card to reveal all the details of the new one.

Then, my brother and his mate were expecting a little boy as well
(boys are harder to do than girls i think.. )
his turned out like so, i really like how they ended up!

starbucks ornaments

i made these ornaments a few years ago for a friend of mine who was a STARBUCKS fiend! she really LOVED EM!

Journals

oh how i love doing these! I had recieved a TON of journals from a girl at work. they have been shuffled from place to place since i dont like to throw anything away. This last winter Michaels started carrying a brand of paper called ROCKSTAR. sadly, they don't carry anymore of it.. i had the paper, and a whole bunch of journals, so i started messin around with em.. i ended up taking them to work and using BLACK INK ( i work in printing) to cover the whole book, then i modgepodged the paper on the front. (and some on the back)
once again, i had some at work, and a couple guys wanted custom journals for their daughters and nieces. i did one that was Tinkerbell themed. but sadly, no pics of that one. :(
i also made one for my secret santa for a family swap (the last pictures) She went crazy over it!

4 aces stitched

i made this for a girl on craigslist. she was turning her garage into a bar, and needed some bar stuff to hang on the wall. so i stitched the aces, and framed em. it turned out WAY nicer than i imagined in my head...

Celebration Calendar Book

Here are some pics of the book i did and sold on ebay. Its a 12 month book that holds cards for all occasions on one side, and there is space to write in holidays and birthdays on the other side. Very time consuming, but also fun to do.
after i made and sold this one, i had to take it into work to find a box to ship it off. One of the guys i work with looked at it, and asked me to make him TWO more books. one for his sis,and one for his mother in law. Unfortunately i didn't get any pics of these ones.. dang! but i heard they LOVED em! (he gave it to them for Christmas.)

i do have one more in the works. dont know when i will be done with the next one!

Easter Cards

Here are some of the easter cards i did for a few of my regulars..

Retirement Card for Frank

This card i made for a guy at work who was retiring. I saw the card in one of my magazines, but wasn't sure of who to use it for.. then, they needed a retirement card at work, and i INSTANTLY knew i wanted to do this one!
